USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable for Mitutoyo Gage with 6-Pin Round Connector

Simplify your data acquisition system. This USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable with Excel compatible output connects a Mitutoyo digital gage with a 6-pin round connector (same gage connector as Gage Cable 965013) commonly used with Mitutoyo micrometers, indicators, Holtest, micrometer head and bench mikes to a computer. This USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable connects directly to the gage, no additional cables required.

The output of the USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. Connecting the USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable with its built-in keyboard wedge to a computer will allow the USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or Explorer based SPC program - no messy software wedge required. The USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable will make the Mitutoyo gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

• Pressing the push button on the USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable
• Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)
• Pressing the send button on the gage, if it has one

This USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as TAB, CR, up, down, left, right and continuous reading. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the USB Direct Keyboard-Style Cable. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
