Single USB Keyboard Style Interface for Digimatic Gages Simplify your SPC data acquisition system. This USB Single Gage Interface works with Excel compatible output, connects standard digital Mitutoyo gages (indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc.) and other digital gages that mimic the Mitutoyo Digimatic signal, to a computer - gage cable not included. Gages available from Chicago Dial Indicator (CDI), Mahr Federal, Ono Sokki and others have digital outputs compatible with the Digimatic signal. The output of this Interface Cable is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal. It will allow the gage interface to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or explorer based SPC software package - no complicated software wedge required. Readings can be triggered by any of the following: Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard Depressing a connected footswitch (not included) Pressing the send button on the gage (if it has one) This Gage Interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right continuous reading, continuous reading with automatic 10, 15, or 30 second delay between readings, and others. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the Gage Interface. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
